The question
What changes when AI reasoning is treated as one contribution inside a governed human-AI system rather than as an isolated source of answers?
HUMAN & AI
Human intent. Machine reasoning. Explicit structure.
AI-den is an INRATIOS research architecture exploring how people and AI systems can reason together without allowing intent, context, verification and responsibility to disappear into a sequence of generated answers.
What changes when AI reasoning is treated as one contribution inside a governed human-AI system rather than as an isolated source of answers?
AI-den focuses on the relationship between human intent, machine reasoning, persistent context, verification and provenance. The objective is not to expose a fixed implementation recipe, but to investigate whether making those relationships explicit improves the quality and inspectability of reasoning.
AI capability does not automatically create decision authority. Human judgement remains central where meaning, values, trade-offs and responsibility are material. AI can analyse, connect, challenge and generate hypotheses without becoming the owner of the decision.
AI-den is the broader reasoning architecture. ADCR explores a narrower operational question: which repeatable parts of AI-assisted development can be automated while meaningful human authority remains explicit. The two research directions can inform each other without being the same system.
