INRATIOS develops original research, theoretical frameworks, methodologies, analytical systems, software, documentation, visual material and other intellectual work. Unless expressly stated otherwise, applicable intellectual property rights remain with their respective rights holder. Copyright protection arises automatically where material qualifies for protection under applicable copyright law.

Unless a specific publication, licence or agreement states otherwise, original INRATIOS material created by M.C.M. van Kroonenburgh remains the intellectual property of its respective rights holder. This may include research papers and manuscripts, theoretical frameworks, models and methodologies, software and source code, analytical systems, documentation, diagrams and visualisations, website content, brand material, and educational or research material.

The Geometric Ratio Model (GRM) and associated material have been documented through a BOIP i-DEPOT.

An i-DEPOT provides dated evidence concerning the existence of submitted material. It does not itself create an intellectual-property right or constitute a patent, trademark or copyright registration. Where copyright or other rights apply to the underlying material, those rights arise independently under applicable law.

Unless a specific licence states otherwise, publicly available INRATIOS material may be read and referenced for personal, academic or research purposes and quoted to the extent permitted by applicable copyright law with appropriate attribution. Public availability does not automatically permit republication of substantial portions, modification and redistribution, incorporation into another product or service, commercial exploitation, removal of copyright or attribution information, or use of INRATIOS branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation.

Commercial use of protected INRATIOS material requires prior permission unless the material is explicitly released under a licence permitting such use. Depending on context, commercial use may include incorporation into software or digital products, commercial redistribution, paid consultancy or training based substantially on protected material, integration of protected models or methodologies into commercial services, and modification and resale.

Some INRATIOS materials may be released under a Creative Commons licence, an open-source software licence, a research-use licence, a product-specific licence or another explicitly stated usage framework. Where a specific licence accompanies a work, that licence governs use of that particular work. No open licence should be assumed merely because other INRATIOS material has previously been released under an open or Creative Commons framework.

The GRM may be subject to a separate usage framework governing specific GRM material and applications. The current GRM Open Usage Framework should be consulted where it is expressly referenced by a GRM publication, tool or agreement.

INRATIOS software and digital products may be governed by separate licence terms. This may include REGIVUE, MFM, IMI, GIE and future INRATIOS systems. A right to access or use a digital product does not imply transfer of ownership in the underlying software, methodology, research or intellectual property.

Theories, concepts and research frameworks may be described publicly for research and discussion. Copyright may protect the particular expression, documentation, diagrams, texts and software implementations of those ideas. Copyright does not generally grant ownership over an abstract idea, principle or concept as such.

Where use is permitted, attribution should identify the relevant author, work and INRATIOS where reasonably appropriate. Where a specific work has a separate licence, attribution must follow that licence.
