Whitepaper – Volume Estimation Without Displacement
In this whitepaper, I introduce an innovative method for estimating the volume of geometric objects without physical displacement or invasive measurement techniques such as water displacement. Using the Geometric Ratio Model (GRM), volume can be expressed as a fixed proportion relative to an enclosing cube. This enables a method that is non-invasive, scalable, and conceptually clear.
This approach removes the dependency on internal parameters such as radius or height. Instead, it uses canonical GRM volume proportions, such as 0.5236 SVU for a perfectly enclosed sphere. The model is particularly suited for applications in medical imaging, artificial intelligence, CAD systems, education, and embedded systems.
The whitepaper includes a complete theoretical foundation, practical examples, a comparison with classical measurement methods, and four detailed appendices containing formulas, ratio tables, and related models.
